Retroactive Bastard by Mark Parker

I'll be honest, 2022 was not great. Sometimes it seemed like the bits of free time I get when I can go to my back room and write and record music were the only moments where I was not experiencing some form of stress or anxiety. When life does get twisted though, it can result in song inspiration. At least that's the spin I'm putting on it as I try to begin 2023 on a positive note! This latest batch of songs is a little more personal than my previous stuff. Of course, I’m still observing the punk rock rules of keeping it short and catchy! Making these tunes helped get me through what popular philosopher Dusty Rhodes would refer to as “hard times”. Hopefully listening to them will provide you with a small distraction from whatever is causing you stress. Cheers!
