Winter's Marigolds by Mama Gina
I wrote this song sketch "Winter's Marigolds" after a chilly November day, winterizing the farm garden. Others were weeding vegetable and herb beds, and I was pulling up the mostly dead marigold plants, scattering the seeds, and walking the remains to the fire.
The background artwork for the album cover is from the Open Access collection (public domain) from The Met https://www.metmuseum.org and is an 1875 wallpaper design from William Morris. The title of the work is, of course, "Marigolds."
