SYNC 2.0 by LUIN
In 2009, I put together an instrumental called "pain" as a backing track for an older internet friend of mine who just gone through a really bad breakup. He opted not to finish the track, and the loop ended up sitting in my project folder for another 15 years when I stumbled across them and decided it was time to do something of my own with the idea. I updated all of the sounds, gave it a better flow and sat down to the dirty task of writing My Own lyrics.
I decided to limit myself to 24 hours like I had with my song "Sync" and there I found the inspiration. This song became a sequel to the other- instead of the plaintive, lonely overture of Sync, I had the tear-stained and bloody Sync 2.0, the cynical musings on intimacy as a form of mutual cannibalism that haunts all my memories of relationships pre-transition.
