Take a deep dive unnawatah. Who knows what initially made Palastoni naming the song like this but for some reason at every stage of making the track it felt right to stick to the name.
Perhaps it is because of the the drowsy numbness that the track conveys.
Like having in mind that you should do something about your life but for some reason you somehow voluntarily stay indulged in your comfort zone. That comfort zone in this track is represented by the "sea".
In the first few minutes all the sounds musically just bounce back and forth, just like thoughts, ideas and distress bounces back and forth sometimes in our heads.
Eventually you might grip tighter to an along passing idea. You think further and further about it, step further and further into the positive and hopeful vibes that this idea emits into your mind. (represented by that melody line in the 2nd drop)
But eventually there's a point where you ought to start working on that idea. Or where you fail to do so. The song ends here.
I am strongly convinced that such ideas of how you can improve your current situation often occur to everybody. Like your instinct always tells you in some way what will be good for you and what not.
Separate from that person that'll harm you over and over again.
Calling that friend that you know you've neglected for too long.
Stick to that business idea or creative idea because you know it is genuinely good.
Start acting on that believe you have in a way that is possible for you.
Stop being a slave to this or that substance.
Somehow somewhere deep down in your thoughts you always know what to do. It is a question of how deep you are actually willing to meet your own thoughts. Then you'll thoroughly wanna evaluate those ideas according to the value that they actually have for you.
And then finally comes the point where you decide to actually step out of the comfort zone, the point where you stop travelling with Captain Nemo and pop up from the marvellous beautiful ocean of numbness.
After all this song for me is a musical painting of that sea of numbness and of the effort to leave it. But that's just me. I hope this track can make you draw your own imaginative thinking patterns in your head when you're listening. Enjooooooy!
