We recorded this throughout 2024. I'd built out a studio at my house and so we recorded at home. In June I flew with a portable interface + M/S ribbon setup to record my sister Kavita playing violin at a beach house. In July I realized it was a stupid plan to self-mix and sequentially connected with my friend Josiah and we decided he'd take a stab at mixing.. he killed it. At some point Harper and I decided we'd make some music videos which led to one of the most enjoyable collaborative weekends of my life. The album for now will only exist digitally but you can pretend its an LP if you'd like. We sequenced it thoughtfully to be relatively cohesive. We initially went into creating this album with hopes of using it's release to gain momentum in Austin, but things change, and within a week of this release, 3/4ths of us will be have moved out of the state. Grateful for these couple years as an Austin band all the more. Immense thank you to my all the loved ones and peers near and far for the support, advice, motivation, opportunity, and inspiration; this was quite an undertaking and the energy gifted to me from others along the way was crucial. Biggest thank you to Ryan, Nate, and CJ for being not only talented but incredibly kind, mature, diligent, and thoughtful.
