Lyrics

Woke up one morning craving for some cereal
Went down to my kitchen to get myself a bowl
Opened the fridge, got out some ice cold milk
I began to pour it into my Rice Krispies
My bowl of Rice Krispies
But just as I started to put my spoon in
I began to hear noises
That sounded like voices
But I refused to listen
Because I was alone in the kitchen
Except for my bowl of Rice Krispies
My Bowl of Rice Krispies
I began listening
Listening intently
To the things they told me
They were very scary
At first they told me
To wear Freaky Freezies
In the middle of July
Yeah July
I don’t know why
But it was July
And the next thing they said
Was to wear my old Keds
And to get rid of Fred*
Was it all in my head?
It was Snap, Crackle, Pop
They just wouldn’t stop
I thought they were nice
Puffed bits of rice
But they were possessed
I should have guessed
When they effervesced
With the taste of Sucrets
Would the Rice Krispies win?
I had to give in
They melted my brain
With homogenized rain
Rain!

Realizing I was doomed
I ran away from the room
Still were there when I got home
On the table all alone
They were soggy but didn’t care
Had a message for me to hear
Wanted a revolution
The final wild grain solution

They wanted to be free
That’s why they were talking to me
I am now one of them
I’ve got a friendship to Uncle Ben

In supermarkets I began to preach
Inside every Little Peach
To every single Rice Krispy
Why do the grocers laugh at me?

Working, why wasn’t it working?
Why were they waiting to start dominating?
I forgot the milk power
That pasteurized power
It had to be wet milk
And not powdered
So I had to steal a milk tanker
A Hood milk tanker
I unleashed it
Its deadly power
Right inside Store 24
It covered the floor
Right down the aisle
I began to smile
Because I heard the sound of Rice Krispies
It was Rice Krispies
It was Rice Krispies
It was Rice Krispies
