Pale Blue 淡蓝: This track emerged during my time in the Amplify Berlin residency program under the mentorship of the talented Marie Davidson. It marks my first venture into the fusion of Dark or Synthwave sounds with full lyrics in my native Mandarin. I like to call this genre 'Sinowave.' The song serves as a bridge that transcends boundaries and cultures, skillfully intertwining my East-West identities.
The song's lyrics encourage listeners to paint vivid mental pictures of the intricacies of love's vast distances. In the metaphorical language of colors, blue represents the yearning for the unreachable, mirroring the unbridgeable gap between you and the subject of your affection. Just as the blue on the horizon signifies an endless, unfilled expanse.
