From an early age Kaito Winse was formed in the traditions of his griot family in the village of Lankoué, Sourou region in the north of Burkina Faso.
As a modern jeli or griot, Kaito is the message bearer for the traditions of Burkina Faso. The talking tama drum, the toutlé and the Fulani flutes and the traditional mouth bow accompany the songs addressed to ancestors and newborns
