Kabocha is the new music project by DJ and producer Substencia and the mysterious noisemaker Ypaul de Quarse.
A collaboration of two long time friends who combined their influences to create a quasi cinematographic work. We dive into a unique sound universe, where intense ambient noises mix with melancholic layers to create a dark and captivating atmosphere. We are transported in a ghostly world where industrial noise sounds are skillfully mixed with elements of japanese music worthy of a Noh theater and modern synths.
Produced between 2021 and 2023, this EP reminiscent of doom and metal ambiences, and in a cold and intense industrial post-techno style.
