Higher Places by Joshua Burnside

I’m very happy to announce the release of ‘Higher Places’, a collection of b-sides, remixes and demos. It is the sister album to ‘Into the Depths of Hell’ - so if you enjoyed that one then I hope you will appreciate these recordings too. The album will be released May 7th,

It includes never before heard songs that didn’t make it onto Into the Depths, including the title track (which was partially inspired by the novel The Third Policeman by Flann O’Brien) ‘Never Was Never Were’ (a song about skipping Sunday school as a kid and hiding on a dark stage until it was over), The Only Thing I Fear and others.

I’ve also included a beautiful lo-fi remix of The Only Thing I Fear by uladh. (aka joel Harkin, check him out if you’re not already aware of his work).

I'll also be performing some tracks from Into The Depths Of Hell and Higher Places live on May 7th as a pre-recorded performance - anyone who pre-orders the album will receive a link upon the albums release to the show.
