The average man. Going through life;
with the stream, just getting by, with his children and his wife

struggling for what he thinks is success and happiness.
Totally unaware of the power of inner peace.

Materials consume him. Money controls his life.
Buy! Buy! Buy! is what he clings to day and night.

He puts on his uniform, mass appeal of conformity.
Believing he is the right and just, Difference the enemy.

Violence and war are solutions, don't you see?
Anything safe is the norm, risks are too scary.

He doesn't need his feelings, he says, he doesn't care for much.
Chasing stereotypical things, afraid of what he'll touch

unsure of what will make him truly happy.
even with the love from his friends and family

And at the end of the day, he goes to the same old spot
uncomfortable, but familiar, thats where he'll seem to rot

Ingesting numerous substances that proclaim happiness
for reasons he can not explain, it feels like eternal bliss
But in reality, he is attempting to drown.

So look out for this man, don't you dare cross his path.
this pathetic, average man, this waste of skin and breath

be careful when he reaches his point of anxiety
he wants to change the world. but not, for you or me.
