Lightscape, feature the sounds of high-powered stage lights and spotlights, with unique clicks and loud ground hum when lit. the piece starts with sporadic clicks and hums, building to a symphony of sounds over the 12 minutes of the piece, with clicks flickering around the stereo field and hums vibrating and bringing the listener into the circuitry of the lighting.
This was one of the earliest pieces I put together for Michelle Man, who at the time but her trust in a recent undergraduate, trusting my artistic license and more importantly, letting me experience what it is like to work composing music and soundscapes for performance pieces - an experience which has led to a long-lasting working partnership that has given rise to the rest of my portfolio.
