In 2005, he released first solo album "Entomophonic”. The following year, he formed the band d.v.d. They toured in various locations and garnered the Honorary Mention award at Prix Ars Electronica 08'.
The way it shifted the role of drums in pop music from the rhythm section to the forefront earned he plaudits not just as a drummer, but also as a composer.
