We’ll each have 2 and cut each other off

I guess it sorta suits your countenance
I like the north I like to feel cold
Something in the wind I can lean against

Friends like us are supposed to stay friends
And that’s why we never acknowledge the chasm

You didn’t break my heart
Don’t flatter yourself and your faults
You got to the middle of me
But you could never let my heart fall
So we’re a series of suspended animations
We are a series of moments of weakness

I could have lasted with some fight left
Thought maybe the sickness could run its course
It was a long road to sudden death
Now you’re flushing pills and I am still hoarse

No more auld lang synes when the night ends
That’s how we never acknowledge the chasm
