“Lady Liberty” is my lofty, wax-poetic meditation on the unreality of the American Dream. It shows how Millennials have been #woke from the Dream’s delusional, white supremacist, racist, sexist,
and classist roots. But! The song’s chorus/refrain, celebrating the “feeling” of “Lady Liberty,” suggests that I and lots of other Millennials desire a new, more inclusive, pluralistic Dream to believe in.
