IS? by Indifferent Spaces
Originally released 01.08.14 through the Weakie Discs label out of Poland, on physical floppy disk, the "IS?" EP is an interesting alternative experiment. It serves as a precursor to the upcoming IS7 album "ะัะธะฟััั 1970" which is a concept album about the abandoned city of Pripyat, and is to be released on 04.26.14 (the 28th aniversary of the Chernobyl disaster) to bring awareness to the problems associated with nuclear power. In-line with this concept, "IS?" has been appropriately released on the nostalgic floppy disk technology of the 80's and 90's, which captures the 4 tracks in all of their 349kb lo-fi glory, further alluding to the illusion that radiation has melted the tracks. The digital download includes both lo-fi versions (as they appear on the Floppy Disk) and the original high quality studio versions.
