After releasing silver eyes meets doctor robot in Fall 2018, the igloo two team began tapping some incredible producers around the world to remix their tracks. The resulting silver eyes meets doctor robot : remixed has arrived and features 13 wicked remixes, ranging through a variety of moods and genres. Back in 2017 igloo two released their [ep] remixed and three of those remixers have been enlisted once again, keeping the Growroom Productions family strong and growing.
A few talented producers have taken igloo two's chilled out beats and pumped them up for the dancefloor. Australia's own Frankee More has turned 'stuck in transit' into a tropical boogie, complete with electro grooves and some chunky nu-disco beats. Fellow Aussie Pecoe has flipped the 'silver eyes theme' into some breaky electro-funk with serious dancefloor sensibilities. German producer Quincy Jointz takes 'pretty showcases' into a futuristic late night after-hours party with some crisp broken beat grooves. Savages y Suefo hail from Hungary and have given 'earthier substance' a full-on trip hop treatment with vinyl scratches, blips, beats and a couple of big builds.
Because igloo two's music is pretty laid back, its logical that a few producers kept their remixes within the chillout zone. First up is UK based Daytoner who has transformed 'between sleeping people' into a sunny, Bossa tinged downtempo anthem with tropical feel. The rest of the producers in this group are Washington, DC based, including Boogie. His remix of 'phoning it in' takes the listener into a musical daydream complete with dubby beats and ethereal washes, guitars and percussion floating into place. Astronaut Jones and FADE are two alumni of igloo two's [ep] remixed previous release, and both return with strong tracks. 'robot md' is reworked by Astronaut Jones who add more instrumentation, layered complexity and a hefty piece of classic trip-hop with lush soundscapes. The FADE Remix of 'joliet' adds some light vocals, fresh keys and a very bright mood to create a fun and breezy chillout vibe. Taking on the 'silver eyes intro' is igloo two themselves, who seem to have taken the scant intro deep into downtempo territory with further explorations of eclectic instruments, sounds and vibrations.
Two remixes found themselves squarely in the house music bin, the first being Orlando's Stereo 77 Remix of 'lazy daze'. Stereo 77's Ricanstruction relies upon some heavy bass, bopping beats and sick percussion and synths throughout to create some abstract early morning house. In a similar vein is Washington, DC based Ozker who has reworked 'static shuffle' into a deep house burner, complete with vocals effects, smooth dubbing and that after-hours at the Paradox feel!
Not to be left out, two tracks received the drum'n'bass treatment, albeit in rather different directions. Rising DC production team Ornette Hawkins has taken 'just green' through a complete drum-funk workout, with sophisticated beats and moody affects, this one's for the heads! Barcelona based Los Chicos Altos have opted for the sunny, swinging sounds on their remix of 'big ego scene', strap yourself in and get ready for a fun and jazzy d'n'b romp.
This incredible body of music, affectionately called the semdr : remixed album has some fresh sounds for just about everybody, from hardcore heads to casual listeners. Genres ranging from big beat, trip hop and downtempo to house and drum'n'bass are all represented. So, keep an open mind and enjoy these musical reinterpretations of igloo two.

Daytoner started off as a solo DJ /Producer based near Penzance, making edits and originals for funk, soul, latin and swing DJs from the (dis)comfort of his Cornish shed. But since 2015, Daytoner have formed into a full 6 piece live band, fronted by Lucy Richards, touring UK festivals in support of their debut band album - ‘Off The Hook’ - released on limited edition vinyl, CD, download and streaming sites in July 2018.
Over the last 3 years, Daytoner have performed live at dozens of festivals across the UK from Kendal to Cornwall plus special events including the public opening of the new Blue Whale exhibit at The Natural History Museum. They’ve recently been supporting Craig Charles at his Funk & Soul Club nights across the South and West of England, backing up their airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio 2, BBC Radio One and BBC Introducing.

Astronaut Jones is a DC/Baltimore-based duo which produces and performs original hybrid electronic/instrumental music. AJ has scored multiple short film and documentary projects including award-winning productions from Tragedy Plus Time and Freethink. They've also collaborated on remix projects for Fort Knox Recordings and Growroom Productions.
OZKER is a Native Specie of the District Of Columbia and it's surrounding areas. As well as being a fixture in our Nation's Capital DJ/Dance scene, he produces music & makes visual art. You can find OZKER through out the year working with some of D.C. top venues, DJing amongst some of the worlds BEST DJs and touring with parties like: Hot In Herre: 2000s Dance Party, No Scrubs: 90s Dance Party, Can't Feel My Face: 2010s Dance Party and REV 909. OZKER also holds DC residencies including nights at U Street Music Hall, Marvin & Dodge City.

Ornette Hawkins is a DC based production duo integrating instrumental improvisations featuring mostly DC based musicians into Jungle and Drum n Bass. They currently have releases on iconic label 31 Recordings, Subtle Audio, AGN7 Audio and Fort Knox Recordings.
Kalu is a Washington D.C. Metro based electronic music producer with previous releases on Outsider Music (Paradox Music Sub Lable) and more recently on Elm Imprint and KoldFront Recordings focusing primarily on funkier sounds of Drum and Bass.

Frankee More…. A name given to a Sydney based gentleman. The most notable thing about our lad frank is he loves the funk. He literally can’t get enough of it. He continually searches for the funk around the world. Sometimes the funk isn't quite there, so he remixes it into funk. Other times he can't find the funk, so he makes the funk, original, tasty funk.
