The facility had been abandoned for decades. Officially, it never existed. Buried deep beneath rock and reinforced steel, its corridors stretched into darkness. The air carried the weight of something old, something wrong. Every step echoed against cold concrete.
The first team sent in never came back. Their last transmission was a garbled mess of static and panic. The second team found nothing but empty rooms and walls covered in symbols that no one could decipher. They pulled out fast. The Pentagon classified the site and sealed the records.
Now the signal is back. Stronger. Closer. Something is waking up down there.
