PHOENIX by Husbands

Two songs we've had in the chamber for a while. Danny and I recorded most of "Getty" over a cold November weekend at some AirBnB house in Nashville while our wives went shopping in Franklin. Though Danny wouldn't say it, I suspect that "Phoenix" might be about the awkward and exciting process of learning to write songs with somebody new. I didn't write the lyrics, but I'd like to think it's sort of about the whole process of collaborating - the joys and fears of the whole thing. // Or, at least, that's how I interpret Danny's lyrics, because we sort of DID meet on a plane in Phoenix, Arizona.
