Simple, but substantial. Honey Watts say just as much in their silence as they do in their melodies and lyrics. She at once disarms and alarms as each song is dressed in vowels heavy with moans, and lines that are sporadically clipped to expose a shy, silly vulnerability. She has honed her songwriting to address life’s quieter moments as effectively as the loud.
