Europa from Moonscope by HAMMON

Europa is the smallest of the four Galilean moons of the planet Jupiter. With a diameter of around 3100 kilometers, it is a bit smaller than our Moon but is still the sixth largest moon in our solar system. While the temperature on the surface reaches no more than −150 °C, science assumes that there is a huge layer of liquid water below a crust of ice. There might even be life in this ocean, although evidence is still lacking. But our Earth has also been completely covered by ice twice and nature still kept evolving new forms of life under the ice cover.
In Greek mythology, Europa was the daughter of a Phoenician king and was abducted by Zeus in the guise of a bull. He carried her over the Mediterranean Sea to Crete, and the whole continent was named after her.
Here, different cultures are merging into something new. The European community is a magnificent experiment with immense potential for new ideas and new ways of life.
