Thorns in the frost, stiff in the wind
Life is lost in the cold
Accumulatin’ snows bury the rose
And the souls of the young and the old

Winter’s a lifeless place in the mind
Where nothing can grow or be free
It lowers the pose of the proud summer rose
And the lifeblood that everyone needs

Wouldn’t it be a miracle if one day we could see
A rose that would bloom in the snow
Giving life and love all through the year

I’ve seen what the cold and the winter can do
To a rose that once was in bloom
