In 2008, the Iranian/Canadian singer and multi-instrumentalist Golnar Shahyar settled in Vienna. She has since become known as one of Europe’s most accomplished contemporary and improvised vocalists, as well as a composer and producer of her own music and a collaborator in dance, theater, and Opera projects.Her bands are Golnar & Mahan Trio, Choub, Gabbeh, Sormeh, and GolNar.
