Vol 157 by Goji Berry

Juno Download Review: Goji Berry returns to re-edit action on Katakana Edits - his twelfth soli EP for the now long-running rework imprint. As usual, the Greek producer delivers dancefloor thrills aplenty while showing due respect to his source material. Check first 'Yala', a joyous and especially colourful, break-driven revision of what sounds like a mid 1980s African pop workout. Goji Berry has done a great job of re-framing it for the dancefloor whilst retaining the original's most ear-catching elements. 'Like That', meanwhile, sees him join the dots between 1980s mambo jams, funk-breaks, and carnival-ready party fodder.
