"Gnaumgn is an experimental duo from Melbourne, Australia, and this is their eighth release of 2010, the whammy- and reverb-laden 'Goon'.

After returning to their "blackened free-jazz glitchcore noise-punk" sound with 'Deplume/Deguerre', GNAUMGN decided to break all their own rules, and create a melancholy piece of smoky abstract free-noir that is two mutations away from being a hard-boiled detective soundtrack from the 50s. Raw, avant-garde, and downright criminal, this release is also HARD-PANNED, with each member relegated to one speaker only - which makes sitting back and listening on a proper stereo system a wonderfully organic and intimate affair, but listening on headphones a draining exercise in mental loboscopic schizophreny. You have been warned.
