Written and produced by Geo.
Masterfully engineered by Slau at BeSharp Studios, Astoria, New York.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to express my
thanks adequately, but here goes:

Slau Halatyn has made my recording “career”
possible. Not a single album of mine would exist
if were not for the generosity, geniality, and
geniousness of this gentleman. Who’d ya’ think
track 6 is about, eh?

Andy Kowal has repeatedly dealt with all of my
challenges to him with skill, style, speed and a
smile. From the first Geologic charts to the horn
arrangements on this record, Andy (always in
the midst of massive home repair) has unflinchingly
fulfilled every request of mine brilliantly.
Dyakoo-YOU.

Donna Mugavero is the one person who truly
gets it. For pushing me to make better and better
music, she simultaneously makes me be a better
person. Thanks for wanting to listen.

The Authority Horns – Andy, Dale, Larry and
Dave – came into the studio and in one marathon
5-hour session made this record what it is.
Essentially sight-reading my bizarro charts, they
even gladly sang my nonsense lyrics and did it
with aplomb. (Or was it with a peach?) Thanks,
guys- Hands across the water indeed.

Vinnie Puccio, Eric Kenlin, & Ross Brown
make live versions of these songs possible. I am
eternally indebted that these gents would even
consider playing my music. You guys, along with
the Authority Horns, make these tunes sound
better than they have any right to.

The Philadelphia Funk Authority – Gary, Andy,
Andy, Dave, Doug, Larry, Dale, Alicia, MJ, Durand,
Dave, Vinnie, Ross, & Billy – have repeatedly
shown me what it means to be funky. Coelacanth
wouldn’t be nearly as groove-ish if it were not for
the constant high standard of funkiness expected
by PFA. Thanks, guys- oh, by the way, we’re
getting paid by check.

Andy Portz lent me his funky-ass Motown guitar
without hesitation, and I gladly used it on Heaven,
Convenient, and Simian. Any skill that you hear
is residual talent left on the strings from Andy.
Thanks, Steel Portz!

Audrey Farolino let me steal her husband for
days at a time, and she graciously let me sleep
on their couch. Thanks also for the “cinematic”
reference to an early version of The Coelacanth
Sighs, AND for suggesting I write lyrics for what
would eventually become Lights Out.

Erin Kowal also let me steal her husband for
hours at a time, when he should have been grouting
or waxing or painting or sanding or spackling
or nailing or raking or staining… Thanks, cuz!

Minx- grrrrrrrr.

Maya, Natalie, and Vera have joined the party
since Vitriol. Welcome!

Oscar is STILL the most dog.

Samantha Weinberg wrote a great book called
A Fish Caught in Time (HarperCollins, available at
all fine booksellers) which started all this silliness.
Thanks, Sam.
