Widest Awake by Four Lions

On May 15, 2021 I jumped on an N Class train en-route to Melbourne from the country splendor of Bendigo. With a brief window of movement in the midst of a lull in Covid restrictions I carpe diemed a sojourn to ye ole M-Town. I jumped off at the station then legged it two kilometers adorning a disposable mask resembling a thrift shop super hero. I finally graced the studio with my presence and made sure wunderkind Loui got me lost within the floors of this macroscale building. When I reappeared at ground zero, matched condensers for the acoustic guitar and a dual oddity of suitable mics (Dynamic and Condenser) for a voice/harmonica were anticipating me. (Essential for panning in headphones for the listener and to add some room bleed). Loui moved things around, added some more bottom end but comprehensively detonated a reverb bomb as requested over et al. After two live takes of each song a version was called so we could leave the building for beer, dumplings and a tab that I could on this occasion afford. - Shann Lions 09.08.2021.
