Who is Mio? Nobody knows, and the server is exhausted from emotional labor following a serial catfishing incident. What began as a playful online exchange has been blown out of proportion - in response to Mio’s cooing, Ville Wannabe has in turn catfished five musicians to celebrate fleeting moments and unexpected connections.
“O Mio” is a ballad imagined through the lens of five producers operating on a spectrum of wavelengths, accompanied by “Throwing moves while falling into void”, a vocal trance duet that is serene yet packed with excitement. Scrolling from Helsinki via Tokyo to Kolkata and back, Ville Wannabe wants to act as something of a bridge between online and local communities, using melodic and suspenseful post-trance music as a shared language.
