Imperfections by Florin Ben

Last fall 2023 I started recording analog and bought a Tascam Portastudio 4 track cassette recorder. It was a pretty magical experience for me to record without a computer. I played around with it for weeks. These are some of the results.

Every track on this EP was a one day project. I got up early and started recording things. By the afternoon I had some kind of a track and by late evening I had finished mixing it. I only used real instruments and effects I collected over time. It was quite meditative to do and helped me through some tough times. It took me one year to revisit it and to publish it. Now with some distance it sounds kind of special to me.
