looking at The Conjuring (2013) we considered the storyline of a blended family who is transitioning to a new home and facing a crisis (which in this movie is Carolyn becoming psychotic and homicidal towards her family). It raises questions about how we lean towards wishful spiritual or curative solutions while turning away from realistic or humanistic solutions - fest.
