Halfway Decent by Faith Kelly

Halfway Decent is a spacey folk rock'n'roll album with psychedelic Appalachain twists. Growing up in Duncannon Pennsylvania I reach into my hillbilly roots and blend when with my trippy recent roots. Produced by my friend Eamon Lebow and mastered by Greg Castro, this is a completely DIY, non represented album. Written about the winds changing, life on the road and the people we meet along the way. Some songs are more singer songwriter roots, while others are krautrock influenced stories recorded with my friends from our scene in the Catskills New York. Halfway Decent is a term my mechanic used to fix up my car after we were hit by a drunk river on tour. We decided we wanted to make a halfway decent album, in hopes of inspiring others to follow their paths in this wild world.

Special thanks to our mechanics Kenny & Russ who kep us safe on the road and gave us the album name. When fixing our van after an accident, Kenny said that he could make it look "Halfway Decent," and we knew exactly what to call this album and decided to shoot the album art on location at their shop in Starlight Pennsylvania. Thank you Old School Cycle & Auto!
This album was mostly written on the road in 2023, with a few songs being nearly a decade old.
Thank you to Caswyn Moon, for inviting me out to open mic and touring all over the USA with me.
Thank you to our amazing music scene in the Catskills, especially the Dale open mic nights, where I met everyone who made this album come to life. Thank you Bamon & Greg for all the time and work put into making this album come to life, sounding more beautiful than I could have imagined. Also thank yall, along with Simon, Shane, Tony and all our other Catskill homies who come out to jam ar open mic throughout the years! Thank you to everyone weve met on the road, who came out to the shows, impacted my iife and contributed to the stories behind these songs.
