Autobiograffitti by DUDE
This is DUDE 2nd full length album. This album is dense in the spectrum of style, pop craft, rock machismo, and textural sensibility. Tony Muggs tends to write his songs from personal experiences. He had a lot of help in making this album from January of 2017 up until March 2020 when Autobiograffitti was completed.
T Muggs started tracking back in January of '17 with Todd Glass on drums, and Jarrod Champion on upright piano with scratch bass & vocals at Homestead Studios in Detroit, MI. with Jimmy Dixon as the owner & studio engineer.
In the summer of 2017, Mike O'Brien (Clear Fields, VVISIONSS, Five Pound Snap) took over the engineering duties at 155 Chippewa Studios in Royal Oak, MI. where Tony and Mike began tracking the ballads, Own The Day & Tomorrow Is Promised To No One as well as all lead vocals & most of the harmony tracks.
In the winter of 2018, we began tracking all other instruments including electric bass, acoustic/electric & lead guitars with Mike O'Brien, Matt Hamann, Charlie (Joachim Pal) Palazzola, Ben Kay & Stephen Garcia at Sophie's Studio in Royal Oak, MI.
From February 2019 to March 2020, Tony Muggs had the pleasure of working with Carl Kondrat (engineer/producer/musician) at Mind Vine Media in Hazel Park, MI. adding supplemental guitars, synth, piano & harmonies, mixing & co-producing this second album.
Tony decided to sit on the album until his autobiography was completed in late fall of 2022. CJ Carpenter was pivotal in creating the book cover artwork and also formatting and editing this book.
