Don Stiernberg recently began his 5th decade as a working musician. Born and based in Chicago, he studied mandolin with Jethro Burns and is regarded as a leading exponent of jazz mandolin style and a respected teacher. The record "Straight Ahead" by his working quartet is his 10th as leader or co-leader.
