Like the ability to tell who's an asshole from across the room

Before I got to talking to my doctor
I read Laura's book like 6 times
I expected to be poked and to be prodded
and treated like I'd lost my goddamn mind

Instead I got a couple awesome doctors
who treated me like a human adult
with a treatable medical condition
that as Doctors, they had learned some things about

That's the difference between Florida then and Colorado now
it's what we stand to gain and stand to lose
and only one of those things is freedom
just like our goddamn right to choose
