S/T by Deep Winter
This is a debut LP album from rock duo Deep Winter.
The music on "Deep Winter" album is a spirit of classic rock with a new fresh and modern new look. It is a mix of garage rock, blues rock, dance rock, rock&roll, alternative and psychedelic rock. The album is an entirely self-produced product made by two members of the band to realize a shared vision of lovely classic rock thing in 21st century.
"The duo is hailin from Russia, demonstrating that rock'n'roll is spreading it's virus also in less travelled paths. Actually Deep Winter is a garage hard rock band with a solid foundation in UK 70s humus and bands like The Rolling Stones, clearly quoted in Everytime I See Your Eyes resembling Jumpin' Jack Flash. Songs are short and sharp, straight to the point in the classic 3-4 minutes format. The general mood is uplifting and energetic, fuelled by crunchy hard rock riffs and a melodic and tasteful voice (Call You to Be Mine, You Ain't Got My Love). Love and romance are the main topics especially when Deep Winter is influence by hard blues and catchy, yet a little poppy and cheesy vocals (Little Baby (Little Darling), I Live in a Dream). Maybe there is some humour and juvenile swagger and nonchalance, a bit of dandy flavour that mellows the mood of their proposal. The guitars are always hard anyway. We could say that they want to take typical garage psych melodies from the 60s and turn them into a modern approach. In fact She's The Girl (Who Doesn't Sleep at Night) sounds as a credible hybrid between vintage happiness and a certain grunge or alternarive rock mood of the 90s. The album flow easily leaving the only epic tune for the grand finale (I Would Fall to Pieces) proving the band is not only comprised by singalong dudes." - Fire Magazine
