Busman's Holiday by Dave Hartl
This album was approached with Miles Davis and Teo Macero's work methods in mind: record a jam session based on simple ideas and then edit the recording into a form of a piece. So it was that five of us gathered one day and played through some pieces and I started a long, arduous one-man reconstruction of the jams. I liked it a lot, but it couldn't be done live the same way, and it went out unnoticed. Too bad.
