Perhaps the surprise Subjangle package of 2023, Couchboy, showed that perhaps the world was ready for a'retro something different' by bypassing the jangly Sarah Records-inspired indie-pop that is so en vogue at present and moving straight to the more jangly 90s-influenced guitar-pop sounds of acts like The Lemonheads, The Frank & Walters, and Eugenius...jangly guitar pop muscle at its finest.
