Sea Anemone by Cats of Ulthar
Since its inception, this project has been at least partly influenced by new weird fiction. But this is the first release designed entirely to capture one of the worlds created by Jeff Vandermeer - the Borne universe. Vandermeer's work is strange, bleak and horrific. But it also testifies to a deep empathy for the other - whatever the degree of otherness.
Borrowing from soundtracks or any music that invites you to daydream, this is more than ever intended to be faithful to the frightfully and beautifully contrasted feelings generated at the reading of fictions such as Borne, Dead Astronauts or The Strange Bird.
