Kesh Jig /Gallagher’s Frolics /Spotted Dog (John McEvoy)
Artists: Emilie Carroll, Nora Carroll, Conor Hearn, Sean Carroll
This blast of jigs consists of all common session tunes, but we arranged them with our unique twist. We learned Kesh and Gallagher’s Frolics from Jeanne Freeman, and the Spotted Dog by John McEvoy is named after a pub in Birmingham, and we learned it off of Rose Clancy’s 2014 album.
The Carroll Sisters are lively Celtic fiddlers from Simsbury, CT. Emilie (16) and Nora (14) play with Sammy Wetstein on cello whenever possible. They are most known for their lively fiddle tunes, beautiful harmonies, intriguing counterpoints, and unique musical arrangements in Irish, Scottish, and Cape Breton traditional music. They perform frequently and teach aspiring musicians.
