SPLIT TAPE by Automotrice/Hroshvalur

A split cassette tape recorded by both St. Petersburg bands — Automotrice and Hroshvalur. By using sampling, field-recordings, acoustic and electronic equipment Automotrice has focused on discovery specific and temporary object property, processes and landscapes. The Hroshvalur project is exploring the possibilities and means of expressing electroacoustic music using eery and peculiar makeshift devices, household items and prosected musical instruments from the past laced with collages from industrial and ritual field recordings.
