Older & Meaner from Mystery - 1998 by The MoonDogs
A western swing kind of vibe. A phrase from the movie "Gumball Rally" always stuck in my head; the guy driving the Ferrari is teasing the guy in the cobra about how archaic and uncomfortable the Cobra must be compared to his sleek new Ferrari, so the Cobra driver just gives him a cold look and says, "Some things just get meaner with age..." So I took that idea and wrote a tongue in cheek song about my wife, Tina, who actually makes a brief appearance in this recording :)

I've always been compelled to write.
Early on it was journaling and poetry, but then that merged with my guitar addiction to become songwriting.
The process was always a bit manic, pressured, as if a large gorilla had stepped into my room, grabbed me by the lapels and said, "I will not let you sleep until you write this idea down." And so for years the gorilla and I danced madly thru the night.
