Sail by Blendreed

Under his Blendreed nom de plume, French saxophonist Musina Ebobissé follows this year’s “ARMAUN” EP with a revived and ramped-up reissue of his second album “Tales Of Tides”, originally self-released digitally in late 2022. ‘Sail’ is the first single taken from the album.

A convergence of acoustic and electronic elements, Blendreed explores the intersection of jazz, ambient, post-rock and experimental music.

Languid saxophone phrases echo and decay towards distant horizons. In combination, they form eddies and streams in an ocean of sound. With no barriers to crash against, we’re held in a state of sublime suspension. If you were seduced by André 3000’s “New Blue Sun” album, Blendreed’s music takes you further into expansive realms of contemplation. A space where Macintosh Plus and La Monte Young meet on equal terms.
