This composition is based upon research and writing I undertook as British Council and PRS for Music Foundation Musician in Residence in Yunnan Province, China between November and December 2015. ‘Eternal Spring’ was completed and performed in Kunming, May 2017 with help from British Council’s ‘Connections Through Culture’.

With thanks to the British Council, PRSf, my Chinese hosts Modern Sky Entertainment and Elephant Arts, and especially Elephant Arts who facilitated the final creation and performance of this piece. ‘Eternal Spring’ is named after Kunming, city of eternal spring, capital of Yunnan Province.
