Freedom Sores by Bacillus

"Freedom Sores," the first release from Bacillus in 4 years. As is the case for all the previous Bacillus releases, this is a clarion call focused on the current socio-political situation here in the US; public health programs are being cut or eliminated, disease research is being defunded, misinformation is propagated and spread, all of which will have far-reaching global consequences. Bacillus rips through a condemnation of the dismantling of public health with the characteristic barrage of thick harsh debilitating textures and cuts, diseased sound, amplified entropy, and primordial distortion to induce a fever dream of a sick and broken nightmare future of epidemics and needless fatalities. We are all victims of a manufactured crisis, here is the soundtrack to the re-emergent diseases of a new dark age.

Researched and documented March 2025 by Peter Keller at the Pathoclinic, utilizing glue records, found and degraded tape, destroyed and deconstructed vinyl records, battered turntables, abused handmade electronics, dying mixers, hospital field recordings, and an overdriven amplified mic'ed patient.
Thanks to Greh Holger for custom lathe cuts used on track 9. Improvisations recorded live in the laboratory direct to tape, no overdubbing or editing. It is recommended for researchers of Bacillus to listen using headphones at high volume.
