Rivelin by Auka
Introducing Rivelin, the second single from our upcoming album Wild Waters.
Rivelin is inspired by a beautiful river in Sheffield, where dippers and herons can be found amongst the mills of old industry, long since reclaimed by nature.
'Auka' comes from an Old Norse word meaning 'to grow or augment'. A central theme in their Celtic-inspired instrumental music is their shared passion for the natural world, especially that of their beloved Sheffield and its surrounding Peak District. Combining a diverse range of musical influences, the band’s compositions ebb and flow from moments of delicate calm to those of frenetic energy.
