Catalyst by Artifiseer

Catalyst is the debut full-length album from Artifiseer, the solo project of Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer Ian Livingstone. Completely self-produced and self-recorded, Catalyst offers deeply personal songwriting combined with electronic experimentation and emotive performance.

Building on previous releases, this album brings myriad layers of electronics and distorted vocals, at times effervescent and at times bleak. Twisted washes of noise and synth drone weave in and around the edges of these songs, while dense, swirling beats and prominent vocals guide the listener through both some of the brightest and also some of the darkest songs to come out of the project to date.
