Composed by Slavek Kwi in March - April 2012 as outcome of discussions with Siobhan McDonald. TRK 2: is stereo-adaptation of 5.1 surround piece, conceived for exhibition of Siobhan McDonald “Eye of the storm”, The Galway Arts Centre, Ireland.

Sine-like tonal-sound of electric field of Gymnotiform fish rec. by Kwi, Amazon, Brazil, 2008

Field-recs from Iceland rec.by Siobhan McDonald (melting water on iceberg, water running between tectonic plates, church bells, wind)
TRK 2:
Tremors data from eruption of volcano Eyjafjallajokull provided kindly by Sveinn Olafsson from the Icelandic Meteorological Office (very short samples introduced sporadically)
TRK 1, 2, 3, 4, 6:
Various tactile manipulations and other transformations (rec.orig. at 96 kHz of ultrasonic range, exploring across multiple time-surfaces / transpositions) of lava debris by Kwi; volcanic stones were collected in Iceland by Siobhan McDonald, Aug. 2010.
TRK6 is revealing purely acoustic properties of the lava stones; these tracks are mixed from non-transformed sequences separated by chimes as signals.
TRK7 is extra track ... residues ...
