The A-side starts with slowly growing drum patterns that carve out acidic spirals, which get thicker, yet also seem to dissolve and eventually replaced by haunting synths.
3L3C7RO DONT STOP, on the other hand, captures one of these classic Anthony Rother studio jam session moments, when he once again meets the challenge of every orchestra conductor: creating harmony with his multitude of equipment.
On the flip side, INNER SPACE ODYSSEY takes center stage and begins with a stripped-down electro approach. The synth sounds come from the Roland JD-800 – one of Rother’s very first synthesizers he bought in the early ‘90s. After being used for more than two decades, the machine needed a proper restoration but finally made it back into the gear arsenal just on time. Not only its sequencer sounds stand out, but also the little comeback of Rother’s non-vocoder but clear voice repeating the crucial message:
Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner space!
