I saw the footprints of a bluesharp
on a lonely peaceful night
I began trailin' him
when the sun went out of sight
Lit by moonlight,
I caught a glimpse about an hour ago
Then he turned and ran,
he played a song, this is how it goes:

I've got the echoes of a bluesharp
ringing in my ears
There's another footprint, now
I must be gettin' near
I can't wait to find him,
I gotta hear what he"s gotta say
He older and wiser,
and he really knows how to play
