fallen kingdoms - graveyards of democracy engulfed in flames of autocracy. armed for conflict, drunk with power - embracing a feudalist society. what are the odds of this to end peacefully? will we survive our apathy? taken by surprise? this storm has gathered rage for ages. and in this darkness, we fought amongst ourselves. with best regards, we crowned them kings as they slit our pulsing throats. and in our downfall, as we wept and screamed, they turned our tears into fact-checked joy. this is our darkest hour. I’ve seen them rally behind their newfound gods, waving their totems in self-righteousness. shouting their slogans with frenzied eyes while the puppets they worship incense them. torches and pitchforks.
